The Route

Starting at Bracoden School, the Gamrie–Rosehearty–Broch route takes you on an unforgettable journey along one of Aberdeenshire’s most scenic stretches of coastline. The course winds its way through the picturesque villages of Rosehearty and Sandhaven, offering stunning sea views, fresh coastal air, and a real sense of adventure from start to finish.

This is not a flat, easy route — it’s a true test of grit and determination. Along the coastal path you’ll take on a series of challenging climbs and rolling hills, including the infamous 20% incline near Pennan, guaranteed to get the legs burning and the heart racing. Whether you’re running, walking, or cycling, every mile earned brings a huge sense of achievement.

The challenge finishes at Fraserburgh Fitness Centre, where the atmosphere builds and the reward of completing the course awaits. This route is about more than distance — it’s about pushing limits, embracing the terrain, and experiencing the coastline like never before.

Expect hills. Expect views. Expect a challenge worth taking on.
